Terms and conditions

Terms for using Mantelzorg Zoetermeer, Sophie and information from third-party organisations.

Last updated: 10 October 2026

1. Who are we?

Mantelzorg Zoetermeer is an initiative of Vereniging Gezondheidsregio Zoetermeer, trading as Samen ZoeterMeer Gezond.

2718 RP Zoetermeer
Chamber of Commerce: 81919468

Email: info@gezondheidsregiozoetermeer.nl

2. When do these terms apply?

These terms apply when you use Mantelzorg Zoetermeer and its knowledge base, Sophie, local support information, activities, training information or contact form. Calling the displayed local caregiver support number means using that partner’s service, not a Mantelzorg Zoetermeer telephone service. A third-party provider’s terms may also apply to its activity, training or service.

3. What does Mantelzorg Zoetermeer provide?

Mantelzorg Zoetermeer provides general information and helps people find relevant knowledge, activities and support. The current website is free and most features require no account. We aim to keep information clear, current and accessible, but cannot guarantee the availability of a benefit, place, service or activity.

4. No personalised professional advice

Website information and Sophie’s answers are general and do not replace an assessment by a doctor, care professional, caregiver adviser, legal adviser, financial adviser or other qualified professional. In an emergency or immediate danger, do not use Mantelzorg Zoetermeer as an emergency service. Call 112 in the Netherlands.

5. Using Sophie

Sophie uses artificial intelligence to understand questions and provide information or suggestions. AI can make mistakes, miss context or provide outdated information. Always verify important information with a reliable source or qualified professional.

Use Sophie responsibly: provide enough accurate context; do not share citizen service numbers, medical files, login credentials, financial details, exact addresses or unnecessary personal data; do not submit unlawful or harmful requests or try to bypass security; and do not rely on an answer as the sole basis for a medical, legal, financial or other significant decision.

Sophie does not decide your right to care, support, benefits or services. See our privacy statement for information about data processing.

6. Contact form and local caregiver support service

You may use the contact form to ask Mantelzorg Zoetermeer a question. We aim to handle it carefully and may refer you to a more suitable organisation.

The phone number displayed on the website connects you to an existing local caregiver support service operated by a partner. The service is not part of and does not act on behalf of Mantelzorg Zoetermeer. The partner supports local residents with caregiving questions subject to its own availability, so Mantelzorg Zoetermeer cannot guarantee immediate access or that every question can be resolved.

When you call, you communicate directly with the local partner. That partner is responsible for the telephone support and personal data processed during the call. Its own terms or arrangements may apply.

7. Third-party organisations, activities and training

Mantelzorg Zoetermeer presents information about external organisations, support, activities and training. The provider remains responsible for its own service, content, availability, admission, prices, cancellations and safety. If you contact a provider through a link, phone number or referral, any agreement is directly between you and that provider. Verify current details and terms with the provider.

8. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for information you enter and choices you make. You may not use the service unlawfully or infringe others’ rights; share another person’s data without permission; send malware or excessive automated requests; test, bypass or disrupt security without prior written permission; or commercially copy or resell the service. We may temporarily restrict access where reasonably necessary to prevent misuse, damage or security risks.

9. Intellectual property

Mantelzorg Zoetermeer’s text, design, logos, illustrations, photographs, software and other original content are protected by intellectual property law. Third-party rights remain with their owners. You may view, save or share public information for personal, non-commercial use with attribution. Structural reuse, alteration, publication or commercial use requires prior written permission unless the law or a stated licence permits it.

10. Availability and changes

We aim to provide a reliable and accessible website but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Maintenance, security measures, failures or circumstances outside our control may temporarily affect the service. We may add, change or discontinue features and will try to clearly announce changes with significant consequences.

11. Liability

We prepare the service with care but cannot guarantee that all information is complete, current or error-free. You should reasonably verify general information and AI answers and seek expert advice for significant decisions.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising solely from reliance without further verification on general information, an AI answer or information from an external provider, or for failures of external websites and services. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Dutch law. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

12. Privacy and cookies

Our privacy statement explains what personal data we process and your rights. You can change optional storage choices through the cookie settings.

13. Questions and complaints

To ask a question, make a complaint or report incorrect information, use the contact page or email info@gezondheidsregiozoetermeer.nl. Please identify the page or situation concerned so we can investigate and seek a suitable solution.

14. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms when the website, service or law changes. The latest version is available on this page and material changes will be clearly announced. If one provision is invalid, the others remain effective and we will replace it with a valid provision closest to the original purpose.

Dutch law applies. Disputes are submitted to the court that has jurisdiction under applicable law. Mandatory consumer protection in your country of habitual residence remains applicable where it offers greater protection.

The Dutch version prevails. Any translation is provided for convenience.
